– Fluency in French to a native level is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is desired, but not
– Exceptional planning and organisational skills, demonstrated ability to work independently,
apply initiative and work under pressure to meet multiple and changing priorities, deadlines
and objectives
– Proven experience in providing high-level support to senior executives and an appreciation
of undertaking this role in a secure environment
– Outstanding attention to detail and a demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving
with strong decision-making capability
– Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various
competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and
– Competent IT skills; proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word. Good
working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
– Proven ability to undertake research and analytical tasks
– Practical experience with diplomatic protocol or related high level organisations is a plus


– Manage the CEO’s diary and programme of appointments. Assist with coordination of
events. Screen phone calls and visitors. Maintain contact databases
– Prioritise and deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence, e-mails and requests.
Manage documentation and inform the CEO of matters requiring attention. Research and
prepare correspondence, notes, and travel programmes
– Assist with arrangements for visiting staff and stakeholders, both internal and external.
Welcome visitors and prepare accordingly
– Make travel arrangements and bookings, including visa applications. Complete expense
– Provide cover for other functions, as and when necessary
– Assist with ad hoc tasking/reporting requests from our other offices in Cape Town
– Office management duties (UK campus activities, perks management)
– Opportunity to assist with executive tasks, events, and document reviews occasionally
– Supervise visitors as required
– Other duties as required
