Property Manager – Private Croatian Island

Private 15th Century Monastery requires experienced Property Manager. This role is open to Individual candidates as well as Domestic Couples.

€5,000.00 net per month

This role would suit candidates with one of the following backgrounds.
  • Private Household
  • 5* Hotel
  • Superyacht

The property will be frequented by guests, and will serve as a venue for events and seminars during the summer months, and requires a property manager on-site (living on the island) from April to October. During the winter period (November to March) the property manager could conceivably reside elsewhere (i.e. off-island) as long as he or she is able to visit the property for ongoing maintenance & monitoring purposes at least 2 to 3 times a month.

Due to the location of the property, this position would be well suited for a couple who would be willing to relocate to the Island and live close to the property.

The individual will be tasked with managing the property and the coordination of all events and exhibitions that take place in the monastery. In addition to this will have the responsibility of pro-actively seeking ways in which to exploit the commercial potential of the property by way of liaising with local tour operators etc. to raise the property profile as a unique destination for both short visits, day ticket for access to public areas as well as hosting unique events and seminars.


  •   Managing all logistics within the property
  •   Liaise with all contractors, including landscapers, conservationists and tradesmen
  •   Coordinate events held on the property in conjunction with external event organizers
  •   Liaise with external parties including exhibition and event organizers
  •   Managing a booking system and reporting to the owner on a regular basis
  •   Host guests staying on the property
  •   Attend to the general upkeep and maintenance of the property
  •   Assist in all related matters in coordination with the art collection managers and curators.
  •   Keep records of costs and prepare relevant reports

Key qualifying criteria

  •   Fluent in English (and ideally Croatian)
  •   Highly experienced in property management and development
  •   Must have experience in managing small teams of people such as existing property staff members.
  •   Experience in dealing with HNWI
  •   Loyal & Discreet
  •   Ability to use initiative
